2ND BLOCK
1/25/2018: Homework is down below. I want 3 things from you like we discussed in class:
-Identify Mark Up or Mark Down (U or D)
-Show me the percent you need to calculate 100 - ? or 100 + ? and then change it to a decimal.
-Solve (Do NOT use a calculator! Only to check your work)
Example: $12 on a 20% discount
D, 100 - 20 = 80%
.80 x 12 = $9.60
1/29/2018: Homework is down below. Same three things like before ONLY when looking for original price it should be:
-Identify Mark Up/Mark Down (U or D)
-Show me the percent that was calculated: 100 + ? or 100 - ?, then change to a decimal.
-Solve by DIVIDING
Example:
Find original price on $6.35 with a 6% tip.
U, 100 + 6 =106%
6.35 DIVIDED by 1.06 = $5.99
DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THE SCAVENGER HUNT AT THE BOTTOM DO NOT PRINT/WORK ON THAT
Code for the Mark Down/Up, Just a Percent Test: NE6HE7
Code for REDO on Mark Up/Down, Just a Percent Test (FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE TEST!): BU4ME2C
2/14: Remember to do each step from I = Prt!
2/19: Homework is below titled Inequalities Puzzle HW. Show all of your work. Remember your signs!
2/21: Study Guide Answer Key is now up! Study your hardest tonight!
2/26: Homework is down below titled Area of a Triangle Puzzle. Remember the formula for finding the area of a triangle. You may NOT use a calculator to solve. Retest on Two Step Equations and All Percents tests will go out early next week, so be on the look out! Grades are updated on PowerSchool.
2/27: DO NOT DO QUESTION 12 AND 17 ON THE HOMEWORK! Remember, the area of a triangle is bxh/2, the area of parallelogram is b x h, and the area of a trapezoid is (b1 + b2) x h/2. You need to write the formula for each and every question and plug in the values. You may use a calculator to solve.
3/1: Homework is down below titled Compound Figures Puzzle. It is highly suggested you print it out. It's okay if you can't. You may use a calculator to solve. Make sure to right down the formula for each shape and plug in the values to solve. Be sure to draw out 10-12 to help solve.
3/5: Study Guide for our test on Thursday is posted below.
3/14: Study Guide for 7G2 and G5 test is down below if you were unable to access it on SchoolNet for whatever reason. We'll go over it tomorrow in class. Don't put your answers in SchoolNet until tomorrow!
3/19: After you are done with the test, start on your homework below titled Geometry Equations HW. Be sure to show your work and write out the equations.
4/11: Study Guide for Volume and Surface Area is down below. DO NOT put this in SchoolNet! We will put in the correct answers together tomorrow in class. Work these out in a separate sheet of paper. You may use a calculator.
4/12: Circle Test questions are down below. Based on the strip of paper I gave you, rework the incorrect answers to receive half the points back (if the answers are correct). You may use a calculator.
4/19: Homework is down below. You are to watch the YT video and take notes in your Statistics and Probability section in your notebook. We will go over this tomorrow and do the follow up activity.
4/23: Homework tonight is the EOG problems 1, 4, 16, 19, 22, 33 in your Ready Book. It's calculator active so you can use your calculator! Also, if you did not finish 5.1 section from Box and Whisker Plot Notes under Classwork, you need to finish that tonight as well! If you missed the EOG Review problems today in class you have to do that as well.

5/8: Homework is down below titled Area of Compound Shapes. You may use a calculator for this. I would suggest printing it out if you can, but it is not necessary to do so to complete it.
5/9: Study Guide is down below. You may print it out or work on it on a separate sheet of paper. Be sure to answer all questions, check back with notes that we have taken as well, especially from Discovery Ed. You may use a calculator.
5/10: Homework is down below titled, Simple Events HW. Be sure to write them in a fraction, decimal, and percent.
